Does anybody else remember their old imaginary friends?
I just had Bella move into my village and I needed to draw her as soon as possible I love her so much. She’s got serious goblin energy. She’s totally gonna be in a punk band with Renée, and Sprocket’s gonna be the guitarist. Similarly to Prince, she had an odd pose on her amiibo card, looks a little weird in human form. Maybe she’s saying something like “bring it on!”
My only complaint is that they got rid of her skull shirt in her New Horizons design, so now she’s just wearing some sea lion shirt. Needless to say, I had to draw her old shirt because we love a spooky bitch
Sprocket, one of my first two villagers alongside Renée! And of course, he has also become one of my favorites. He’s a robot jock that has a secret dream of becoming a guitarist, what’s not to love?
Obviously not a robot in his human form, but I decided to give him prothestic legs to still give him a slightly mechanical vibe. Also, ostrich’s legs are really prominent in the Animal Crossing designs. Also, this design allowed me to try a bunch of new things. I’ve never drawin prosthetic legs before, I don’t draw side profiles of people’s faces often, and the dreadlock-ish hair texture is something that I’ve had difficulties with in the past. All this along with an action pose makes for a surprisingly challenging drawing.
Graham absolutely kills me. He sucks, but he’s got a lot of personality. According to his wiki, his goal is to become a writer (and we all know exactly what kinda stuff he’s writing). His house is like a high-tech computer den with shelves of books, but hanging right above his doorway is a bunch of posters of Chrissy and Francine. His catchphrase is “indeed” because he has a very high IQ because he watches Rick and Morty. And of course he’s the smug personality type. So yeah, this dude was easy to imagine as a human.
His shirt pattern was absolute hell to draw tho and I’m still not super proud of it… but I sure did try
What is he reaching for? A jar of cookies on the top shelf? A tall person offering him a hug? God? We may never know…
Prince is a rather odd-looking villager but I still love him very much. Being a lazy villager, he obviously needed to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes, but I felt like he felt a little empty so gave him goggles. I guess I thought they’d resemble his froggy eyes? Though according to his wiki page, his goal is to become a carpenter, so maybe he wears those goggles as he’s crafting to protect his eyes!
(Also, he’s barefoot but I can’t draw feet)
Unpopular opinion, I love the monkeys. I was so happy when Tammi moved to my island!
She’s been one of my favorites since the day she moved in. I can’t tell if she’s supposed to be a chimp, a ringtail lemur, a tamarin, or all three, but she’s always gonna have a special place in my heart.

Renée was one of my two starting villagers in New Horizons and slowly became one of my favorites. I think she cemented herself as best girl when she had me and Sparro write a punk song with her. So here she is, the local buff punk chick that looks like she’d punch you in the face but is actually real sweet and protective.
